As President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Jay Shah also gave a new direction to Asian cricket by introducing new tournaments and encouraging young talent. He has also played an important role as Chairman of the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee of the ICC.

During his tenure, the Indian women’s cricket team received equal match fees as the men’s team. He also promoted Test cricket and successfully oversaw the organization of major global tournaments hosted in India. For his contributions, he has been honored with prestigious recognitions such as “Sports Business Leader of the Year,” “Game Changer of the Year,” and “Excellence in Sports Administration.”
