London. The International Siddhashram Shakti Centre in Harrow, London, celebrated Ganesh Utsav 2025 in a spiritually uplifting and environmentally conscious manner. The ten-day festivities concluded on Saturday, 6th September 2025, on the auspicious occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, with the sacred ritual of Ganesh Visarjan performed under the divine guidance of His Holiness Siri Rajrajeshwar Guruji.
In a unique and inspiring step, Siddhashram conducted the Ganesh Visarjan in a specially prepared artificial water pool within the temple premises, instead of immersing the idol in open water bodies. Following the traditional parikrama, the Ganesh Murti was immersed with full devotion, reflecting deep reverence to the deity while also demonstrating a strong commitment to protecting the environment and respecting local laws.
Guruji, while blessing the devotees, emphasised:
"Our festivals and rituals must be celebrated with utmost devotion and cultural spirit, but we must also respect the laws of the country we live in. By ensuring our practices safeguard the environment, we not only honour our deities but also inspire other communities through our responsible actions."
The celebrations at Siddhashram were marked by devotional bhajans, mantra sadhana, and special rituals throughout the ten days. Highlights included:
Saturday, 30th August 2025 – Devotees engaged in Ganesh Mantra Sadhana alongside the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, guided by HH Siri Rajrajeshwar Guruji, to remove obstacles from their lives.
Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 – A grand Annakut Darshan of Lord Ganesh was held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, accompanied by soulful bhajans and offerings by devotees.
6th September 2025 – The concluding Ganesh Visarjan ritual in the eco-friendly artificial pool, attended by numerous devotees who joined in prayer and celebration.
