Nitin Nabin has trusted aide of PM for 15 years!
Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin has been appointed as the National Working President of the BJP at the young age of just 45. He may also go on to become the youngest National President of the BJP. Earlier, Amitbhai Shah became the party’s National President at the age of 49.
The reason behind entrusting Nitin Nabin with this significant responsibility is not limited to his age or experience alone. It is the result of years of struggle-filled organizational work, repeated electoral success, the trust of the central leadership, and the long-term strategy of the RSS. His father was also a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and had served as an MLA.
Although his active entry into politics is generally considered to have begun in 2006 after the demise of his father, ideologically he had already been deeply connected to the party, as his father was a BJP MLA and had been elected continuously since 1995. Most recently, Nitin Nabin won from the Bankipur seat in Patna by a margin of 51,000 votes.
He became a minister in 2021 and has been reappointed as a minister once again. It is believed that he is one of the closest leaders to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar. In 2009, when Narendra Modi visited Patna as Chief Minister, an advertisement appeared in newspapers and hoardings regarding assistance to flood victims in Bihar, showing Modi shaking hands with Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar reportedly became upset over this and cancelled a dinner party. According to reports, Nitin Nabin played a role in releasing those advertisements. Thus, it is said that Nitin Nabin has been in contact with Prime Minister Modi since 2010.
Apart from this, there are 10 main reasons for his selection
1. A Karyakarta Who Rose from the Ground Up
Nitin Nabin’s political journey began at the grassroots level. Unlike leaders who enter politics through privilege or legacy, he grew within the BJP ecosystem as a karyakarta. This lived organizational experience makes him instinctively connected to booth-level workers—the backbone of the party.
2. Deep Roots in ABVP and BJYM
His formative years were shaped in student and youth politics through Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Serving as BJYM National General Secretary and Bihar State President, he learned cadre management, ideological training, and mass mobilization—skills crucial for a national organizational role.

3. A Proven Election-Winning Strategist
The BJP values leaders who deliver results, and Nabin has done exactly that. As BJP in-charge of Chhattisgarh, he played a central role in the party’s 2023 Assembly victory, where the BJP won 54 of 90 seats. This single assignment significantly boosted his credibility with the central leadership.
4. Builder of BJP in New Territories
Before Chhattisgarh, Nabin served as election in-charge for Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Sikkim in 2019. In a state where the BJP once had minimal presence, his work helped make the party electorally relevant—demonstrating his ability to expand the BJP’s footprint.
5. Five-Time MLA with Consistent Public Trust
Electoral resilience is rare. Nitin Nabin has been elected five times from the Bankipur constituency in Bihar, starting with a 2006 by-election. Repeated victories over nearly two decades signal public confidence, political adaptability, and strong local connect.
6. Governance Experience in Crucial Ministries
As a minister in the Government of Bihar under Nitish Kumar, Nabin handled demanding portfolios like Road Construction and Urban Development & Housing. These roles gave him hands-on experience in infrastructure, urban planning, and policy execution—vital for a leader shaping national strategy.
7. Ability to Manage Alliances and Complexity
Working within coalition governments in Bihar sharpened his skills in negotiation, coordination, and consensus-building. This ability to balance ideology with pragmatism is critical for a national leadership role in a diverse political landscape.
8. Trusted by the Highest Leadership
Prime Minister Narendra Modi publicly praised Nabin as a “young and industrious leader with rich organisational experience.” Such endorsement reflects not just appreciation, but deep institutional trust.
9. Accessible, Humble, and Worker-Friendly
Within the party, Nitin Nabin is known for his polite demeanor, accessibility, and structured approach to work. Senior leaders and grassroots workers alike describe him as approachable—an essential trait for managing a massive organization like the BJP.

10. The Face of BJP’s Generational Shift
At 45, Nabin represents the BJP’s conscious push toward younger leadership. His elevation signals continuity without stagnation—an attempt to prepare the party for the next decade while staying rooted in organizational discipline. If elected as National President in the future, he would be both the youngest and the first from Bihar to hold the post.
In many ways, his rise tells a larger story: the BJP’s belief that the future belongs to those who have first mastered the fundamentals.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
