Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite Launched in India, The price is higher

Vivo has officially expanded its premium V-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite. Positioned as successors to the Vivo V60, these mid-range contenders introduce a refreshed design language and a sophisticated camera system co-engineered with Zeiss.

While the series currently consists of two models, Vivo has not yet confirmed if more variants will join the lineup later this year.

Display and Design

Both the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution ($2750 \times 1260$ pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. A standout feature is the peak brightness, which reaches a staggering 5,000 nits, ensuring perfect visibility even under direct sunlight.

The devices move away from the curved aesthetics of their predecessors, opting for a flat-edged aluminum frame and a glass back. For durability, both phones carry a dual IP68 and IP69 rating, making them resistant to both deep submersion and high-pressure water jets.

Performance and Hardware

Vivo has differentiated the two models primarily through their internal processing power:

• Vivo V70: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
• Vivo V70 Elite: Features the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

Both phones utilize upgraded LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage technology for faster data speeds.

Camera and Battery

True to the V-series heritage, the camera is a major focus. Both devices feature a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup:

• 50MP Telephoto Sensor with OIS (3x optical zoom).
• 8MP Ultra-wide Sensor.
• 50MP Front Camera with autofocus for high-quality selfies.
